FARPost can confirm that Polokwane City’s longest serving technical team member, Bernard Molekwa has tendered his resignation at the club with immediate effect.
Molekwa was in charge of the club’s training sessions since their return for pre-season on Friday, but submitted the resignation letter late on Saturday.
The 43-year old joined City as a player in 2010 when they were still under the name Winners Park.
He was later made captain when the club purchased the first division status from Bay United.
Upon retiring from playing, Molekwa served in different roles at the club including that of team manager, assistant coach and head coach.
He was assistant coach to Clinton Larsen when the club got relegated at the end of last season.
Efforts to solicit a comment from both Molekwa and the club were unsuccessful.
