Maritzburg United striker Judas Moseamedi is optimistic that his side will walk away with maximum points tonight as they face Swallows FC in the DStv Premiership clash at Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium.

The game is set to kick-off at 19:30.

Having lost five league matches in a row, the Team of Choice managed to secure their first point of the season as they played to a 1-all draw with Mamelodi Sundowns in their last Premier Soccer League (PSL) encounter at Harry Gwala Stadium. As a result, the Blue Army remain 16th in the PSL table.

The 26-year-old insists that the spirit is high within the team and they have gained a positive attitude following their impressive display against the Brazilians.

“We have been doing well since the start of the week and we know very well that we will be playing against a team that has a fine unbeaten run record in the top-flight. However, that doesn’t mean they are unbeatable,” says the Tzaneen-born goalscorer.

“I have seen the confidence amongst the players and we are positive that we will manage to come back with the three points.

“The mere fact that we collected a point against Sundowns gave us a morale booster. Winning this game will also give our fans happy moments as they have been enjoying when we won games last season.”

Meanwhile, Maswaiswai will be hoping to go back to their winning ways after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Golden Arrows a week ago.

The Dube Birds sit second in the DStv Premiership log standings with 12 points, two points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
