CAF Champions League holders Al Ahly will take on Tanzanian champions Simba in matchday two of Group A at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Both Simba and Al Ahly come into the match with three points apiece following their wins against AS Vita and El-Merrikh respectively, in matchday one.
Speaking during a media briefing upon the arrival of Africa’s Club of the Century in Dar es Salaam, Mosimane described ‘Wekundu wa Msimbazi’ as a happy team that can be dangerous.
“It was very impressive of Simba to go into Kinshasa and win against Vita,” said Mosimane referring to Simba’s 1-0 win earlier this month.
“And that is one of the most important things that we need, which makes us to be very careful of Simba. They played very well, very organised, it shows from the work of the coaches that the department is doing very well.
“Simba is a team that plays with supporters. The supporters drive them, they also like beautiful football. They are a happy team so we got to be very careful of a very happy team because when it gains momentum it becomes a difficult team.
“They have good foreigners as well, Luís (Miquissone) I signed him from Mozambique and loaned him to Simba when I was at Sundowns. We loaned him here, a very important player, Clatous (Chama) is happy to play football, he is a happy player. We played against him in Zesco, a good player. So we know we are up against a very good team,” he said.
