According to the Mamelodi Sundowns mentor Pitso Mosimane, Orlando Pirates are well prepared and equipped ahead of tonight’s titanic Absa Premiership clash at Orlando Stadium as Rulani Mokwena left his ‘classified book’.
“Fadlu has my classified book that Rulani left, they (Pirates) know everything that I do as my classified information is with them because I have seen how Pirates attack and play after Rulani has been with them.
“There is lots of movements that I was doing there, they are doing them at Pirates, and they have really changed the team for the last two years. They chased us for the league, that’s football development and it is good as you must develop players. I also learned from Pirates. We all learn, there’s always a mentor that you look up to,” said Mosimane, who worked with Mokwena for years at Sundowns.
Mosimane was also full of praise for the Soweto giants as they have won won two games under their new coach in Josef Zinnbauer.
“The match has nothing to do with the log, it is that match and we all want to win the match, but we respect them.
“They are a good team, they scored 4 goals against a team which we scored only 1 against, we struggled against Polokwane City, we scored in the 89th minute, they brushed them aside like nothing, that’s where Gabadinho Mhango got a hattrick in 20 minutes, is unbelievable, you must respect that. They have scored 8 goals in 3 games, I mean I don’t have that, I must respect that, there is a new coach that is doing well,” said Mosimane.
“That game will never be a normal game – it is like the Chiefs game, it is like a SuperSport United game, they are abnormal games and that’s where the pride of the club comes in, that’s where the pride of both clubs come in, pride of the players come in,” concluded Mosimane ahead of their title race clash against Pirates.
