Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane says that they need to start focusing on winning other trophies this season after clinching the CAF Super Cup.
In what was a very tight encounter, Al Ahly managed to beat Morocco’s RS Berkane thanks to goals from Salah Mohsen and Mohamed Sherif to clinch the CAF Super Cup title on Friday in Doha.
The game was quite balanced for the majority of the 90 minutes, but with time they managed to assert their dominance, especially in the second half, and killed the game with the two goals.
Mosimane says that they now need to focus on winning the remaining trophies of the season, as will be demanded by Al Ahly fans.
“We weren’t good enough in the first half and the first part of the second half,” he said the post-match press conference.
“I didn’t give them instructions to play long balls, but I asked them to calm down and play on the ground in the second-half. From then the performance improved a lot and we scored the two goals.
