AmaZulu FC host log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in the Dstv Premiership, in what promises to be cracker of a match at Johnson Kings Park Stadium tomorrow.
Usuthu find themselves in second position on the log and six points behind Sundowns who have a game in hand.
AmaZulu players have vowed to be ready for the biggest game of the day and they believe that they can match their opponents in all departments.
Usuthu goalkeeper Veli Mothwa is adamant they are ready for the titanic clash at home.
“We have a home ground advantage, we are working hard every time on our home ground, home or away we take every game serious, but here we call it a slaughterhouse,” warned Mothwa.
“We have to slaughter everyone who comes here, we don’t use words, we slaughter by action.
“They are a big team, but it’s 11 v 11 in the field so the name does not play only players are playing it’s not the name of the team,” said Mothwa.
Meanwhile, striker Augustine Mulenga believes their preparations have gone well and they are looking forward to get maximum points, so that they can close the gap between them and Sundowns. He is very cautious of making mistakes against a good Sundowns team.
“This week everyone has been pushing and we are looking forward to this game against Sundowns and as for me, I’m also looking forward to this big game. Three points is gonna take us close to them because they are league leaders.
“Each player has got his own duty in the field and for me what I always look for is if I don’t score at least if I can assist, it makes me happy because it means I’m doing something for the team,” said the Zambian.
“They are a good team, what I can emphasize to my teammates is just that we must not make a lot of mistakes, because they will use them to beat us,” said Mulenga.
