Motsepe Playoffs to go ahead as planned

The South African Football Association (Safa) has assured the teams that the national playoffs will be played as planned despite South Africa moving to adjusted lockdown level 4.

Strict restrictions will be put in-place in the venues and everyone will be forced to follow every regulation set at all times.

Meanwhile, Mpumalanga MEC of Sports, Arts, and Recreation Lindiwe Ntshalintshali says the national playoffs games must continue and clubs must behave themselves, as reported by Mabaleng Sports Center.

This comes after she has engaged the Mpumalanga National Department of sports and recreation regarding the ABC Motsepe League playoffs set to start today, 28 June until the 3rd of July.

“Clubs must stay at hotels and not be all over, two clubs at all times at grounds, and emphasis on protocols,” said the MEC Ntshalintshali.

This year’s national playoffs will be played behind closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
