Mourinho on his horrendous record at St James Park: I don’t care

In seven matches at St James Park, Newcastle, ‘The Special One’ is yet to taste victory as a manager in the Premier League (PL) with four defeats and three draws, which is his longest winless streak away from home at a PL ground.

Mourinho has managed to secure just three points out of a possible 21 on offer at St James Park.

Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Newcastle United on Wednesday and Mourinho is not entirely concerned about ending his PL hoodoo at St James Park.

“A few draws, with some defeats at two different clubs, Chelsea and Manchester United. I don’t know, I will have to go there this time without the fans,” – Mourinho. Picture: Tottenham Spurs.

“I really don’t know, it happens. There are some other opponents where I have an incredible record, like, for example, against Arsenal, but against Newcastle away for some reason, I don’t care.

“It doesn’t influence me, makes me think that on Wednesday evening we are not going to win just because of my record, it is just a negative record, I really don’t care.”

“I believe that the next two days are going to be two happy days in the camp but then we go to Newcastle and Newcastle is a good team, a difficult team, and it is the only stadium in England where I never won,” concluded the Spurs mentor.
