Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker Themba Zwane acknowledges that injuries and maintaining consistency has been his biggest challenge this year.
Zwane or Mshishi to his fans, has been hampered by injuries in recent months and has recently recovered from a hamstring strain which saw him miss out on the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for Bafana Bafana against Ghana and Sudan last month.
A fully fit Zwane says he’s raring to go and the main priority is to stay injury-free and hit top form which will see him and the team continue to compete for top honours.
“I am trying to get back to my form and fitness. This season I’m looking forward to winning the League and competing with the best players in the League,” he said.
Despite being 30, Zwane, meanwhile, admitted that he still has ambitions of playing abroad and should an opportunity arise he’ll grab it with both hands.
“Yeah why not. If the chance comes then I will take it,” he added.
