TS Galaxy captain Given Msimango is edging closer to returning to action.
Msimango suffered the setback during the pre-season and spent three months on the sidelines.
The 24-year-old Brakpan-born footballer is said to have commenced his light training with the ‘Rockets’.
“My progress has been going very well. I’ve been going through the paces with the physio, biokinetics, and sports trainer as well to keep my fitness levels up,” said Msimango.
“Everything is going well and I know that I’m due to be back in three weeks where I’ll be training with the team.”
The central defender became the cornerstone of Galaxy’s rearguard, with his remarkable rise continued when he received a number of national call-ups for the Under-23 squad.
He became the youngest skipper in the DStv Premiership last campaign and shows plenty of potential to grow.
“It is not nice watching the team from the sidelines especially with the team not getting the results. But I’ve been through this before,” he added.
“This is not my first roller-coaster. I understand where I’m at as a footballer. Mentally, I need to be strong.
“Physically, I’m getting there. I’m here on the field and I provide mental and emotional support where it is needed.”
