TS Galaxy defender Given Msimango is adamant his side will finish in the top eight despite a hat-trick of defeats in the DStv Premiership.
The Rockets are currently 12th on the DStv Premiership table with seven points from eight outings. Only two points separate them from AmaZulu FC who occupy the eighth spot on the log.
The 23-year-old has been outstanding for the Mpumalanga-based outfit, having not missed any of his club’s fixtures.
Msimango remains positive that at the end of the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign the Rockets will qualify to participate in the top eight next season.
“I’m very confident that we will achieve our goal of finishing in the top eight. It is still early stages of the season to start calling and positioning ourselves. We are slowly getting there. We will start getting points. We will get points that are needed to reach that goal,” said the youth international.
“We are working very good at training. Our efforts have doubled. The boys are pushing and I’m pushing.”
The new boys on the block will be gunning for maximum points when they return from the festive season break in January against Baroka FC, SuperSport United, Chippa United, Maritzburg United, Bloemfontein Celtic, Orlando Pirates and Black Leopards.
“I’m confident that come the end of the season, we will be amongst the top eight finishers,” adds the club captain.
Galaxy suffered three consecutive league defeats which led the club to axe coach Dan Malesela, as they failed to win a game in the last six PSL matches.
