Mamelodi Sundowns defender Khuliso Mudau is looking forward to showing what he can do to lift the club to new heights in the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign.
Mudau joined the Brazilians at the beginning of the season on a five-year contract from Black Leopards.
The 25-year-old wing-back is a great reader of the game and one of the intelligent players. These traits go hand in hand with his other qualities that helps make him a better player in the field of play.
His awareness of the game improves his defensive abilities to his attacking instincts, as he often tries to build a move while under pressure and helps the team retain possession of the ball.
The Limpopo-born footballer has played seven games in all competitions for Masandawana this season.
“I have made about six appearances for the club in the league, I feel as if I have done well in all the games I have featured in whether as a sub or starting,” Mudau told the club’s official site.
“The club plays a lot of games, almost 40 a season. We are playing for a big team and expectations are there for us to win every game and challenge for every trophy.”
He also added that competing with one of the best right-sided players in the league gave him an insight into the lessons he has learned ever since he has arrived at the club.
“I am competing with quality players like Thapelo Morena, Lebo Maboe and every day I learn from them. They have been with the club for a while and understand what is needed by the coaches from us as players. So they are always available for advice and it is not like we are just here for work then leave, we are brothers at the end of the day and they also want me to improve and achieve as they have done with the club. Every moment I spend with the guys is valuable to me,” he says in his closing remarks.
