Banyana Banyana striker Rhoda Mulaudzi has had a season to remember in her career after winning the National women’s league with Mamelodi Sundowns as well as the Belarusian women’s league with Dinamo Minsk.
Mulaudzi netted 36 goals from 16 matches for the Brazilian Ladies, which resulted in her securing a move to Europe alongside her Banyana teammate, Lebo Ramalepe.
Although she joined Minsk in the middle of the season, the 31-year-old managed to score 9 goals to help the club win their ninth league title.
“I can say it has been an amazing season playing for Mamelodi Sundowns, being a top goal scorer, winning the league and going overseas and winning the league with Dinamo Minsk,” Mulaudzi tells FARPost.
“It has really been a fantastic year for me winning the two league titles in two different countries, so it says a lot. It shows that the hard work and effort that I am putting at training is working so I don’t have to stop, I have to keep on pushing hard and make sure I do what I love the most,” she said.
Mulaudzi has also confirmed that she will be going back to Belarus, although there are offers on the table from other teams.
“Yes I am going back to Dinamo Minsk in January when the pre-season starts and we will take it from there. There are a lot of offers, it’s just that with the covid-19 is not easy for us to travel from one country to another so you just have to stay where you are for now,” she added.
“For the upcoming season, I want to see myself as a top goal scorer, playing in the UEFA (Champions League), seeing myself representing my country, qualifying for the Afcon so that we can qualify for the 2023 Wold Cup.”
