Mutizwa attracts Turkish interest

Reports in Zimbabwe claim that Golden Arrows and Warriors striker Knox Mutizwa has attracted interest from Turkish side Yeni Matyalspor.

Matayalspor is the same team former Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe currently plays for in that part of the world.

Mutizwa who is on 11 Absa Premiership goals, is currently three goals behind Orlando Pirates hitman Gabadinho Mhango in the Absa Premiership leading goalscorers chart.

Mutizwa scored a brace in the 2-1 win over the struggling AmaZulu on the weekend.

Contacted by FARPost, Mutizwa said his agent Gibson Machi was the better person to speak to as his focus was on Abafana Bes’thende.

“I have a contract at Arrows, two years (laughs), “said Mutizwa.

“My agent is from Zimbabwe, Gibson Mahachi. I didn’t talk to my agent yesterday or today, we only talked after the game on Saturday and he just congratulated me only. He didn’t say anything. He is based in Zimbabwe, I will send you his number so you talk to him, me I don’t know anything.”

Mahachi commented: “You know if there’s anything serious you know, you would know and you would know through Arrows you know. So Arrows I don’t think they’ve received anything, I’m also not aware of that.

“But look what’s there is the boy is doing well and I think we need to keep it like that, so that his attention is not divided you know.

“If offers do come yes we will definitely confirm, but for now I don’t think there’s anything we can confirm, anything serious you know what I mean.”-Gibson Mahachi.

“You know what happens if a player is playing well, yes there’ll be interest but some of these interests they just interests that end up interests. But if there’s anybody really interested in the boy the route would be through Golden Arrows.

“Yes there are some interests but there’s nothing official that has come through, for my side. And if there is anything official, Arrows will be the first one to confirm because whoever wants the player will have to officially raise their interest with the club,” added Mahachi.
