Orlando Pirates winger Austin Muwowo has failed to live up to expectations and it is understood that the club are looking to send him out on loan.
The 24-year-old signed with the Buccaneers in the July/August transfer window, but has only made one first team appearance so far in the 2019/2020 campaign.
It seems as though the promising winger is behind the likes of Thembinkosi Lorch, Kabelo Dlamini and Vincent Pule in coach Josef Zinnbauer’s pecking order for the wide positions.
Indications are that the technical team are considering sending Muwowo out on loan in this January transfer window so that he can get some game time and gain first team experience.
The team had already informed the player’s representatives that he needs game time away from the club.
“They feel friendly games alone will not give him the much needed game time, hence they want him to be loaned out, get the exposure and come back match fit with game time under his belt,” said our source.
