Mamelodi Sundowns’ new recruit Mothobi Mvala says that he’s ready to push himself and contribute to the team’s success.
Mvala joined the Brazilians from now-defunct Highlands Park on a five-year deal.
“I am delighted to be here, I am enjoying it and I got a warm welcome from my teammates and the technical team. The mood in the team is great and I am adjusting very well and with hard work, I will be where I want to be,” Mvala told Mamelodi Sundowns official website.
The midfielder was part of the national under 23 that took part in the Rio Olympics and he has now graduated to the senior national team.
The Bafana Bafana international aims to fight for more trophies in the 2020/21 season for Bafana Ba Style because he believes that’s the culture of the team.
“I want to win trophies with the team as that is the culture of the team and everyone can see that every season the clubs always win a trophy,” he adds.
The Theunissen-born had a superb 2019/20 season with the Lions of the North, having featured in 28 league games and weighed in three goals.
The 26-year-old is yet to make an official debut for the Tshwane-based outfit.
“I know that for me to play I must work hard and follow the instructions given to me by the technical team. I want to contribute to the team’s success and the only way to do that is to push myself,” he stated.
