Enock Mwepu has made a positive impact since his arrival at Brighton and Hove Albion, according to Graham Potter.
The Brighton head coach has been impressed by the 23-year-old’s humble nature and has no doubts that he’s ready to test himself in the Premier League.
“He’s settled in well. His personality helps, he’s a very, very likeable, mature, humble guy. He’s a team player who gets on with everybody and is intelligent. He’s made a real impression on everybody.
“On the pitch he brings different attributes. He’s scored already and can add goals from midfield. There are things to improve of course, like everybody, but we’re happy with him and I think he’ll get better the longer he is with us. There’s no doubt he’s got the capability to play in the Premier League.”
Mwepu recently joined Albion from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg, but he has already scored his first goal for the club during pre-season.
He is expected to form a formidable partnership with Malian anchor Yves Bissouma in the middle of the park after Bissouma decided to remain at the Amex Stadium despite interest from some of the bigger clubs in the Premier League.
