Black Leopards coach Alan Clark has lashed out at his players for what he calls schoolboy errors during their 2-0 defeat to Baroka at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
A terrible mistake in the first half by Leopards defender Chris Katjiukua and a misjudgement of the ball by keeper Rotshidzwa Muleka in the second half allowed 19-year-old Evidence Makgopa to snatch a brace.
But a normally calm Clark was left fuming after the 2-0 defeat, a second in a row for Lidoda Duvha.
“What do I say to him (Katjiukua)? That error is a schoolboy error… my son is 11 and he doesn’t do that mistake,” Clark told reporters after the match.
“We work every week and when we play we play the ball wide we don’t give the ball in the middle. Today in the first half we gave a ball away the whole game in the middle, we want to give the opponent an opportunity to shoot and score against us,” said a visibly angry Clark.
Leopards are away to Bidvest Wits in their next Absa Premiership on Tuesday at Bidvest Stadium starting at 19:30.
