The Brave Warriors skipper Dynamo Fredericks insists that participating in the Total African Nations Championship (Chan) slated for Cameroon this year would be the one to remember.
The tournament is set to kick-off today, 16 January to 7 February 2021. Namibia assembled for camp in their coastal town of Walvis Bay last month in preparation for the tournament.
Namibia are drawn alongside Zambia, Guinea and Tanzania in Group D for Chan 2020.
Fredericks is very hopeful that his side has acquired the physical and mental fitness to make a big impression at the tournament played in the Central African country.
“I have been pushing the boys to keep working hard and not despair because of the others who tested positive (for Covid-19),” he adds.
“I also constantly call the ones in isolation to motivate and encourage them to have faith and work towards fully recovering because we are all waiting for their return.
“We are going to CHAN not to participate but to compete against the best, so we will go play to the best of our abilities to make the nation proud,” he says in his closing remarks.
