Bidvest Wits midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange says he’s pleased with his performances since the resumption of football and he is hopeful that his side can make it two wins on the trot when they tackle Maritzburg United at the Tuks Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Nange delivered an impressively disciplined Man of the Match performance against AmaZulu on Friday at the FNB Stadium, providing two assists to help Wits seal a 2-1 victory.
“I am proud of myself, I am proud of the boys, we worked very hard as a team and we started doing well since we came back after the lockdown, I happy with myself for the man of the match that I got in the last game,” said Nange.
The 28-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season – three goals and four assists to his name with Wits coach Gavin Hunt using the midfielder in a more defensive role throughout the season.
“We are professional and we must always be professional regardless of the situation. We will continue to give our best and keep pushing until the end,” added the former Black Leopards man.
“At the end of the season, we want to be proud of what we achieved on the field with this club. We will give our best and we are happy with the performances thus far.
“We will give our best in the remaining games, we are happy with our performance so far, unfortunately, we lost against Sundowns in the Nedbank game.
“I am looking forward to the Maritzburg match, we will give our best, we respect them, they are a good team. If you watched the way they played against Mamelodi Sundowns, coming back from a goal down on two occasions. They are a good running team, but we will do our best and hopefully, we can get maximum points,” concluded Nange.
