“The wisdom of our team, we’re just working like we’ve been working before. There is nothing that is new that we have been told about the responsibilities.”
These are the words of Mandla Ncikazi when he was probed about the coaching situation at Orlando Pirates following the sudden resignation of Josef Zinnbauer most recently.
Pirates’ caretaker-coaches Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids led the team at the weekend in the 2-2 draw against Stellenbosch in their DStv Premiership opener at Orlando Stadium.
Ncikazi is new to the ‘Buccaneers’ family as he only arrived at the club a few weeks ago from Golden Arrows, but it seems that he has already won the trust of the Pirates’ management along with Davids.
“Me and Fadlu, we’re not working together for a first time, which makes it even easier. Until told otherwise, this is how we’ll be working,” added Ncikazi.
“We are sharing the responsibilities very well and I’m happy about working with Fadlu, the team that we are making the respect that is between the two of us.”
The Soweto giants will travel to Limpopo to tackle Marumo Gallants in their next league game on Tuesday.
