Ncikazi: There are still two cup finals to play

Golden Arrows coach Mandla Ncikazi was a proud man after his side got back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Wednesday.

Ncikazi though has his sights on their last two matches of the season, as he wants his troops to show the same hunger they displayed against TS Galaxy.

“Let’s continue with what we planned at the beginning of the season, try and go as far as we can. There are still two Cup finals that we have to play, Kaizer Chiefs away from home and Stellenbosch FC,” he pointed out.

“Get the points there and go as far as possible, whatever happens at the end we’ll always be proud as a team.

“Just proud that today I’m standing in front of the team after having scored three goals and never conceeded.

“I’m just happy that these players are giving their all, I’m happy that we took the chances, even matches that we lost previously it’s not matches where I’d say we played badly.

“I’m just happy that we had the capacity to break that two-match losing streak.

“I’m happy that these players are giving their all for the badge and I’m happy to be the coach standing in front of them currently,” said Ncikazi.

The 52-year-old coach further praised goalkeeper Sifiso Mlungwana for outstanding work.

“Sifiso is a top goalkeeper, (Nkosinathi) Sibisi top defender, the saves, you always expect that from Sifiso, not only today there are other matches where he wins us matches.

“You always expect that from your goalkeeper, I rate him highly and I’m proud that he helped the team,” concluded Ncikazi.
