TS Sporting chairman Slungu Thobela says with their Mpumalanga province neighbours TS Galaxy out of the Nedbank Cup already, it’s their duty to keep the flag flying in the competition.
On Wednesday defending champions TS Galaxy who are owned by Tim Sukazi exited the cup competition in the round of 32 following their 3-0 loss to Absa Premiership outfit Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
While Thobela’s TS Sporting beat fellow GladAfrica Championship outfit Ajax Cape Town on penalties to advance to the last 16 stage of the Nedbank Cup, following a 2-2 draw in the 120 minutes.
“In terms of the Nedbank we will take a game as it comes you know. Obviously, we want to win everything now going forward,” said Thobela.
“One TS must remain, ja if it’s not that TS of my brother (Sukazi) it must be my TS. This Cup belongs to TS’s.”
Meanwhile, Thobela confirmed that suspended club official Vusi Ntimane will be back at work on February 19, 2020.
Ntimane was suspended by the Premier Soccer League last year after throwing an energy drink at a match official.
