Manuel Neuer became the first goalkeeper to reach the 100th cap for Germany when they hammered Latvia 7-1 in their final Euro 2020 warm-up game.

The 35-year-old shot-stopper made his debut for the German national team 12 years ago.

“From the first moment he was with us, I had the feeling he would go on to be one of the world’s great goalkeepers,” recalls head coach Joachim Low.

Neuer is considered as one of the world-class goal minders. The German skipper managed to lift the World Cup trophy with his country back in 2014.

Not only did he win the World Cup, but he went on to walk away with the Adidas Golden Glove at the 2014 Fifa World Cup.

The Bayern Munich goalie is also the recipient of The Best Fifa Men’s Goalkeeper 2020 award.
