It’s been a couple of months since the Absa Premiership kicked off and we’ve seen the players perform at their respective clubs.

FARPost‘s Amahle Siphungu picks five players who have impressed the masses so far.

Tshegofatso Mabasa (Orlando Pirates)

The former Multichoice Diski Challenge Top goal scorer for the year 2017 has made an immediate impact at Bucs since joining from Bloemfontein Celtic in June. Not only is he getting the goals, but they are of quality as well. He currently has 4 goals in 6 matches across all competitions and with age on his side – he’s 23, he certainly is one to watch for the future.

Thamsanqa Gabuza (SuperSport United)

The striker, well known as ‘Ganda-Ganda’, signed for the Tshwane club during the June transfer window and has silenced all his critics with his form at his new club. Gabuza has since played a vital role for SuperSport United upfront starting 11 matches and bagging 4 goals, as well as two assists. He helped Matsatsantsa win the MTN8.

Thela Ngobeni (Highlands Park)

The Katlehong-born goalkeeper who signed for The Lions of The North after a disappointing time at Mamelodi Sundowns has already made a difference at his new club. Ngobeni played a vital role in leading his team to the MTN8 final. Ngobeni has started 8 matches and kept 4 clean sheets.

Mpho Makola (Cape Town City)

The Orlando Pirates midfielder wasn’t expected to be a regular at the Citizens, but he’s managed to feature in all City’s eight league outings.

Mosa Lebusa (Mamelodi Sundowns)

The defender joined The Brazilians from Ajax Cape Town in July and has since played a pivotal role in the defence of Masandawana. Not only is he good for making those tackles at the back, but has offered a lot more going forward starting 9 games and scoring two goals.

Kearyn Baccus (Kaizer Chiefs)

The Durban-born midfielder seems to have won over the hearts of the Amakhosi faithful. Baccus hit the ground running creating chances and being involved in a few of Chiefs’ goals. He currently has 1 goal and 2 assists in 8 games.
