It appears that Polokwane City have identified their next coach, reports Tiyani wa ka Mabasa.
FARPost.co.za sources have confirmed that Patrick Aussems, who is in charge of Simba of Tanzania, could be the man to take over the coaching reins at Rise n Shine.
The Belgian is thought to be keen on making the switch to South Africa.
The 54-year-old former defender has been with Simba since last year, but he’s certainly not new to African football, having been at Congo’s AC Leopards from 2013-15.
Polokwane City parted ways with Zlatko Krmpotic earlier this month after a poor run of form.
Initially, it was thought that Bernard Molekwa, who’s in charge on an interim basis, was going to remain in the position until the end of the season.
But it turns out that City boss Johnny Mogaladi has other ideas and he’s set his sights on Aussems.
Speaking to Tanzanian media, Aussems brushed off the claims that he was in SA negotiating with Polokwane City.
Instead, he jokingly said he was in the United Kingdom.
“I was in London held talks with Spurs over managerial offer, but they turned down my proposal and offered it to Mourinho.”
