ABC Motsepe KwaZulu-Natal League side Durban FC have shown some glimpse of improvement according to their new coach Thami Ngubane.
The Westville-based club have been struggling in the league and recently lost 10-0 against Dabeka Sporting FC, a result that propelled the team to get Ngubane to save them.
The experienced coach is aware of what is expected from him by the team management, who bought a status and brought in a new team and he is up to the challenge as he seeks to make a difference since his arrival.
“The team is new in this league, evident to the mistakes that they are making in the field, but I’m happy with what we have achieved so far and I believe with time we’ll get it right,” said Ngubane.
With the situation the team finds itself in, the management has put their hopes in the coach to help them maintain their status in the league and he is happy with the understanding and agreement they have.
“Fortunately when they brought me in here we understood each other, the mandate they gave me is to save the team from relegation. When I joined the team, they were number nine on the log, now we are position eight which gives us a chance that if we win a couple of games still in the first round we’ll move up,” continued Ngubane.
