Maritzburg United have extended midfielder Phumlani Ntshangase’s stay at the club after the player signed a two-year deal.
Ntshangase joined the Team of Choice at the beginning of the season on a season-long loan from Bidvest Wits.
The KwaZulu-Natal side have since confirmed that they have tied down the 25-year old for the next two seasons.
“Phumlani Ntshangase has put pen to paper making his stay with us permanent! Ntshangase has signed a two-year deal with the Team of Choice,” the club announced on Friday.
“I’m so excited to sign a permanent contract with the team. It’s a huge blessing and I feel honoured. This is a great club, hopefully we can achieve something together this season,” said Ntshangase.
Ntshangase played 17 matches for Maritzburg in all competitions under Coach Eric Tinkler.
He was reportedly also on the shopping list of Kaizer Chiefs.
