Ntuli has however told FARPost that as much as he will be fighting to win the top goal scorer he will also fight to help the team avoid relegation.
The AmaZulu hitman who scored over the weekend in the 1-0 win over log leaders Kaizer Chiefs now has 12 goals, two behind current leader Gabadhino Mhango.
The other players on 12 goals are SuperSport United’s Bradley Grobler and Peter Shalulile of Highland Park.
“I have made the decision now to fight for top goal scorer. I know it won’t be easy because there are players like Gabadinho Mhango and Bradley Grobler who are also scoring but I will fight. I am determined to win the top scorer award this season,” he said.
“But for now my main concern is the team. We are not in a good position and every game we will be playing will be like a cup final.
“I want to help the team out of there and you know the remaining games won’t be easy. We need to win as many games as we can to avoid relegation,” added the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker.
AmaZulu will host Baroka on Saturday.
