Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that striker Samir Nurković will return to training this week, after recovering from a groin iniury.
“His progress will be monitored and further updates will follow,” says the club.
The 28-year-old has not played this season and Chiefs have missed him.
Nurkovic scored 14 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions last term, but rumour has it that he wanted out with Egyptian outfit Ahly apparently keen on his services.
Chiefs, on the other hand, have largely struggled for goals, and played to a goalless draw against Cameroonian side Bamenda in their Caf Champions League tie at the weekend.
Amakhosi still managed to progress to the first round with a 1-0 aggregate score and will meet Angolan side Primeiro de Agosto, home and away.
*In case you missed it, Chiefs v Black Leopards has been moved to Wednesday, FNB Stadium, 19:30.
