As reported by FARPost last week, Baroka have confirmed the appointment of former Maritzburg United and Chippa United assistant Vincent Kobola as an assistant coach to Matsimela Thoka.
Kobola joins the Bakgaga technical staff which consist of head coach Thoka, assistant coach and DDC coach Job Maphutha as well as goalkeeper coach Thomas Nare
Club Chairman Khurishi Mphahlele confirmed the arrival of the 36-year-old on Monday morning.
“Vincent Kobola will be assisting Matsimela Thoka as from today. This is because we want to give Thoka the much needed support,” Mphahlele told FARPost.
“We want him to succeed and we think Kobola has the experience and will add value to our team. The team is playing well, it is just unfortunate that we had a lot of covid-19 cases but now luckily everybody is back, so we are able to field our strongest team,” he said.
Kobola joins on a season-long contract with an option to extend for a further two years.
