Mamelodi Sundowns shot stopper Denis Onyango admits winning the 2019 Telkom Knockout Tournament has lifted some pressure off their shoulders.
Sundowns have been juggling their CAF Champions League duties alongside domestic competitions which has seen them having an extremely busy program.
Onyango feels it was important for the club to lift their first piece of silverware.
“Yeah it’s another trophy it takes a little bit of pressure off us because we’ve been under pressure the entire season, being behind in the League by 10 points and of course chasing the CAF Champions League, being knocked out of the MTN8 semifinals so yeah at least we have something now,” said the Ugandan international.
“Now we can focus on the League and the Champions League,” Onyango added.
