Fabio Cannavaro has heaped praise on Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen.

The Italian legend admits that he has been impressed by the scintillating performances that the 22-year-old has produced for the Serie A log-leaders so far this season.

Osimhen has scored four league goals in just six appearances for the Partenopei so far this season. The Guangzhou (Chinese Super League) coach believes Napoli have what it takes to win the Scudetto this season, but singled out Osimhen for praise.

“Napoli are solid. They can win the Scudetto, but beware of the two sides from Milan,” the former Ballon d’Or winner told Tribal Football.

“Spalletti’s team looks like a wall at times and have different solutions. Victor Osimhen was thought to be a crazy horse, but in the box, he knows how to hurt the opponents.

“Never rule out Juventus, they know how to manage the difficult moments and will be able to return.”

His brilliant start to the new campaign resulted in him being voted as the Serie A Player of the Month for September.

He managed to beat Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella, AC Milan’s Brahim Diaz, and Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura to the award which is organised by the Italian Footballers’ Association.

During his playing days, Cannavaro made 136 appearances for Italy. He played for clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus, Napoli, Parma and Inter Milan.

Known for his hard tackling and strong abilities on the ball, Cannavaro won the 2006 Fifa Ballon d’Or after a good year with Madrid and Italy in the 2006 World Cup.
