Our attitude remains the same – Mapeza

Chippa United coach Norman Mapeza insists their level of commitment will not change when they face TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match tonight (19:30).

The Chilli Boys will welcome the GladAfrica Championship side at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in the only fixture of the last 32 round.

The ‘Rockets’ are winless in their last 5 League matches but Mapeza insists they will not get carried away the fact that their opponents are in the lower division.

“That’s what I just said it is the same, whether it is a friendly, Cup or League games it is the same. The mandate has to be the same we have to go there and win,” said Mapeza.

“We know we are playing the current winners of the Nedbank Cup and a very good team and we are aware of the challenges we are going to face against them but for me the attitude will be the same, we have to go out there and get a result,” he said.

Chippa have been Nedbank Cup semi-finalists in two of the last three years, losing on penalties to SuperSport United in 2017 and 4-2 to Kaizer Chiefs last season.
