Following a change of position from the centre-back role to being the main striker, First Touch Academy player Noko Matlou has continue to shine for the SA Women’s National League side.
Matlou is currently the League’s 3rd top goal scorer with 17 goals and 27 assists in 17 matches, behind Hilda Magaia of TUT (32) and Rhoda Mulaudzi of Mamelodi Sundowns (27).
The Limpopo side are fourth on the Log with 32 points but the Banyana Banyana international says their aim is to finish in 3rd place.
“Our target as a team is to finish number 3 because as you can see even the games that we thought we would win with a heavy score it has been difficult so our target is to finish third” Matlou told FARPost.co.za following their 4-1 win over Thunderbirds in Seshego on Saturday afternoon.
“Today I scored one goal so I have 17 goals and 27 assists overall so I think it was a good performance for me and the team because it is not about the individual but the team so I think the team is doing well and I am also doing well,” she said.
Overall Women’s National League results this afternoon:
Durban Ladies 1-6 TUT
First Touch 4-1 Thunderbirds
Golden Ladies 4-2 Richmond Ladies
Coal City Wizards 2-1 Tsunami Queens
