Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows defender Luvhengo ‘Papi’ Mungomeni has confirmed that he has joined the new GladAfrica Championship outfit Venda Football Academy (VFA).
‘Papi’ stated that he joins the side as chief scout and second assistant coach.
He was part of Mikhado FC in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League last season, assisting them in all departments including playing.
“Joining VFA in the GladAfrica as chief scout and 2nd assistant coach,” Mungomeni wrote on his official Facebook account.
VFA will be competing in the National First Division in the upcoming new season, having bought Cape Umoya United status. They finished fifth place in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League last season.
The Louis Trichardt-based club will play their first game against Cape Town Spurs on Sunday, 22 August at Parow Park Stadium.
The kick-off is set for 15:00 in the afternoon.
