Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has reportedly been sacked from the Ghana camp, but Ghana’s Football Association has denied it all.
This comes after the 27-year-old rocked up late for the training ahead of their international friendly match against Morocco on Tuesday.
According to footballghana.com, it was reported that Partey was reluctant to join the Ghana camp despite arriving early in his native country.
The Black Stars head coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor has since decided to dismiss the side’s deputy captain from the camp after he had arrived two days before the team could travel to Rabat.
However, the Gunners’ star spokesperson Samuel Ziga has denied the reports that Partey has been sacked from the camp citing the fact that he could not travel with the team to Morocco due to health reasons.
“It’s never true Thomas Partey has been sacked from camp by Coach ‘CK’ Akonnor,” said Ziga.
“He went there to seek permission based on health grounds because he even came with a Physio.”
