Pedro “delighted” to join AS Roma

As Roma have announced the signing of Spanish international Pedro on a three-year deal on Tuesday afternoon.

Pedro penned a deal with the Serie A side after parting ways with Chelsea at the end of the season.

“I am delighted to be here at Roma. I’m excited for this challenge and to compete to achieve our targets over the coming seasons,” said Pedro.

“I want to thank the fans for the welcome they’ve given me. I hope to make them happy,” he added.

The former Barcelona forward is Roma’s first signing in the current transfer window as the club looks to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2020/21 Serie A season scheduled to get underway on September 19.

“I want to win with Roma. It’s possible to win a trophy. I understand it’s a big challenge for everyone here and for the team,” concluded Pedro.
