Despite the denials, FARPost sources have insisted that Highlands Park’s possible sale is not out of the question.
While the club has persistently poured cold water over the rumours of a pending sale, sources at the club, and outside, have revealed that the club could indeed be changing hands and the deal may be announced sooner rather than later.
“This is what I get from the club,” said an agent, who represents a couple of players at the club and opted to remain anonymous in order to maintain a healthy business relationship with the ‘Lions of the North’ executive.
“It all started as a rumour, but then I was alerted that this could well be true. I think they are waiting for the end of the season,” said our source.
Speaking to a source at the club, it would appear that TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi is the frontrunner to get his hands on Highlands Park, but he couldn’t be reached for a comment.
Efforts to get comment from the directors at Highlands Park also proved to be a futile exercise.
