The Philly’s Games return

The Philly’s Games will resume today after a two-day break.

Considering Christmas Day and Boxing Day, there was no action on December 25 and 26.

The battle for the R100 000 first prize shall continue and the tournament, currently playing out in Tembisa, Gauteng, has reached the last eight stage.

The quarterfinals are played over two legs, which is the same as the semifinals, before the final.

Three of the quarterfinal matches ended in draws on December 24, the last day of action, which means there’s plenty to play for in the second leg today.

RESULTS FROM THE FIRST LEG…

Gwara Gwara FC 0-0 Abarondoli FC

Amandla FC 2-2 Isithembiso FC

The Rock FC 0-0 Ndengeza FC

You First FC 1-1 Boko Haram FC

The second leg fixtures will kick off at 10:00 this morning with Gwara Gwara set to renew their rivalry with Abarondoli.

From FARPost’s observation, the games have been tightly contested and making it fairly difficult to predict the outcomes. What is clear is that every team is going all out to reach the last four and eventually, the final.

It’s all to play for in Tembisa and while the games are played behind closed doors, you can’t miss the action with the games beamed live. Below are the links to live streaming.
