Phumudzo Manenzhe gives back

It is that time of the year where former Orlando Pirates striker Phumudzo Manenzhe gives back to the community of the Madombidzha Village in Limpopo.

Through his Phumudzo Manenzhe Foundation, the 35-year-old will be hosting a 3rd edition of the annual Top 8 Soccer Tournament, a fun walk and visiting his adopted Orphanage Home in Madombidzha.

“The aim is to expose the talent of Sinthumule, to also create access to sporting apparels and equipment. To invite scouts from the Professional teams to see the talent.

“For the youth to be participating in meaningful activities during the festive season. To also motivate the players to balance education and sports,” Manenzhe told #FARPost

“My aim is to inculcate a sense of hope, to also make sure the kids are proud of their culture and for the kids to be excited about their future. And for the kids to know we care and love them. For the kids to believe in them, for them to know that where you come from doesn’t determine where you will end up,” Manenzhe said regarding the adopted Orphanage Home.

The soccer tournament will start on Saturday December 21 with the quarterfinal fixtures while the semi-finals and the finals will take place on Thursday, 26 December at Madombidzha Arsenal Grounds with the entrance free for everyone.
