Pirates secure first win post-lockdown

Orlando Pirates registered their first win since the resumption of football after a hard-fought 2-1 win over SuperSport United at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday.

Vincent Pule put the ‘Buccaneers’ ahead in the 28th minute before ‘Matsatsantsa’ defender Luke Fleurs found the equaliser 13 minutes later.

Substitute Zakhele Lepasa grabbed the winner on the 58th minute.

Pirates keeper Wayne Sandilands saved two penalties in the second half.

In the other Absa Premiership matches this afternoon, Highlands Park played to a 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United.
