South African winger Boipelo Mashigo scored his second goal of the season in Germany.
The teenager scored the winning goal as SpVgg Unterhaching defeated TSV 1860 Rosenheim 5-4 at the Sportpark Unterhaching on Saturday evening.
Unterhaching took the lead through German striker Stephan Hain who stabbed home in the 19th minute of the game.
Rosenheim equalised just six minutes after trailing with Nico Schiedermeier scoring for the visitors.
The home side took the lead again through David Pisot’s header in the 27th minute.
Although Linor Shabani later scored a hat-trick for the visitors, a brace from Patrick Hobsch and a beautiful solo strike by Mashigo ensured a 5-4 victory for Haching.
Mashigo has scored two goals and assisted another two strikes in 13 Regionaliga games. This is the winger’s first full season with the first team after being promoted last season.
A product of the SuperSport United academy, the 18-year-old moved to Germany after being recruited by the DFI academy. After a year with DFI, Mashigo joined Unterhaching where he has harnessed his skills for the past four years.
Unterhaching sit in seventh spot on the table with 20 points from 13 games. Their next game is against arch-rivals Bayreuth at the Hans-Walter-Wild Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
