Lorenzo Gordinho scored his first goal of the season for Viborg FF.
The former Kaizer Chiefs defender played the entire 90 minutes as the newly promoted side cruised to a 4-0 victory against Esbjerg away from home in the Danish 1st Division.
After defeating Helsingor 3-0 last week, Viborg were officially promoted back to the Danish Superliga after a three-year absence. Gordinho signed for the Danish club at the beginning of the season after leaving Kaizer Chiefs.
He has played eight top flight games this season and this was his first goal in their famous green and white colours. Gordinho opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the game before Sebastian Gronning scored a brace just before half time.
Tobias Bech put the encounter beyond Esbjerg’s reach in the 65th minute as the 1st Division champions walked away with a resounding victory at the Blue Water Arena.
The Greens have two games left in the regular campaign. They will travel to Frederecia on the 21st of May before hosting HB Koge five days later.
Next season, South Africa will have two players in the Danish top flight with winger Gift Links already playing for AGF Aarhus.
Liam Jordan plays in the second tier with Helsingor where he has established himself as a regular member of the starting line-up.
