FARPost has it on good authority that Polokwane City have let go of all the players whose contracts came to an end, upon the completion of the Absa Premiership.
The players include long serving midfielder Jabulani Maluleke, George Chigova, Lehlohonolo Phali, Thabiso Semenya, Simphiwe Hlongwane, Bongile Booi and Edgar Manaka.
Chairman of the club Johnny Mogaladi addressing the players on Tuesday at the club offices in Polokwane regarding the way forward, after the club was relegated on Saturday.
“Yes there was a meeting yesterday and everyone whose contract was coming to an end has been told they can go look for a job elsewhere,” said our source who was part of the meeting.
The other players who still have contracts with the team are expected to meet with the Chairman on Tuesday, 15 September to either negotiate for new GladAfrica contracts or otherwise.
The players include Kabelo Mahlasela, who signed on permanent deal from Chiefs, Nicholas Motloung, Mohammed Anas, Walter Musona, Charlton Mashumba and Puleng Tlolane.
Polokwane City COO Tincy Tema could not be reached for a comment.
Meanwhile, coach Clinton Larsen has also left the club alongside some members of his technical team Milton Nienov (goalkeeper coach), Dina Dhlomo (Masseurs) and Japhet Borges Neto (Physical Trainer).
Assistant coaches Bernard Molekwa and Willy Moloto will remain at the club.
