The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has confirmed the appointment of Kim Poulsen as the new national team head coach on a three-year contract.
The Danish tactician replaces Ettiene Ndayiragije, who parted ways with the national team six days ago following poor results in the just concluded Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
The 61-year-old mentor is no stranger to the Taifa Stars, as he returns for his second spell. He coached Tanzania from 2012 to 2014.
Poulsen also served as the Tanzanian head of development back in 2016 until 2018.
The former Silkeborg coach’s biggest assignment will be the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers, where Tanzania are placed third in Group J with four points after four games with two matches to come next.
