Minister of Sports Nathi Mthethwa says the Premier Soccer League games can continue.
The Absa Premiership and GladAfrica matches were suspended this week due to Coronavirus.
Mthethwa, however, met with the SA Football Association (SAFA) in Pretoria on Tuesday, where it was decided that PSL games can continue behind closed doors provided they follow hygiene protocol and continue to spread the word on Coronavirus.
The PSL will meet its members on Thursday to decide on the way forward.
SAFA President Danny Jordaan says local football’s governing body will prefer if the League remains suspended and he will engage PSL chairman Irvin Khoza to urge the PSL to not play the games.
