The Premier Soccer league has instituted charges against two Bidvest Wits players, Ricardo Goss and Sameehg Doutie.

The pair have been charged with misconduct after they allegedly assaulted match official Masixole Bambiso during the Absa Premiership fixture against Cape Town City FC last weekend.

The incident came after Bambiso awarded a penalty to the Citizens following a foul by Thabang Monare on Thami Mkhize.

Wits players were furious and as they went to confront the referee, Doutie and goalkeeper Goss, appeared to have pushed and shove the match official.
