Premier Soccer League clubs have joined thousands of people in sending their condolences to the late South Africa’s ambassador to Denmark, Zindzi Mandela.
SA woke up to the sad news that Mandela passed away at a Johannesburg Hospital in the early hours of Monday morning.
Clubs such as Orlando Pirates, Maritzburg United and Kaizer Chiefs have since taken to social media to pay tribute to the 59-year-old.
“Chairman Kaizer Motaung has expressed his condolences to the Mandela family following the passing of Zindzi Mandela. Motaung describes the passing of Zindzi as a loss to many. Zindzi will be remembered for her contribution to the liberation struggle. May her soul Rest In Peace.” Read a message from Kaizer Chiefs.
PSL Chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza also started his press conference on Monday with a moment of silence in honour of Mandela.
