It’s been months since Mamelodi Sundowns star Gaston Sirino was charged with assaulting SuperSport United players Clayton Daniels and Dean Furman by the Premier Soccer League.
But there is still no decision on the matter from the Disciplinary Committee.
The Uruguayan has been charged with misconduct after he allegedly struck both the Matsatsantsa footballers when they played Sundowns in the second leg of their MTN8 semifinal fixture dating as far back as September 18, 2019.
Sirino who has since pleaded not guilty got a yellow card on the day.
“I was told that I will have my judgment two weeks ago, I will get hold of the chairman (of the Disciplinary Committee) again now,” PSL prosecutor Nande Becker told FARPost.
“Actually, I’ve been back at the office yesterday morning and there’s a lot of things to deal with, and I will find out from the chairman when that decision is coming out.
“You see all the decisions are handled by the Disciplinary Committee I just present the case on behalf of the League. They gotta make the finding and the ruling with regard to the sanctions, that’s something that my friend Pitso (Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Mosimane) don’t understand…they think I make all the decisions,” he said.
“I was expecting it two weeks ago already (the decision on Sirino) so, I will find out from the chairman of the DC what the delay is.”
